RESEARCH PROFILE: Dr. Martinez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Montreal. She has had a long-standing interest in

spinal cord injury research. Her lab uses small and large animal models and a combination of behavioral, electrophysiological and engineering approaches to

understand the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying plasticity of locomotor systems and to test neuroprosthetic approaches aimed at guiding recovery of walk.
