Hello everyone,

The MNN is pleased to be hosting Dr. Luda Diatchenko from McGill University as our featured speaker for Brain Awareness Week 2017.  Dr. Diatchenko holds the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Human Pain Genetics, and she has made significant contributions to our understanding of how human genetic variability influences pain sensitivity and chronic pain states.  Her work incorporates molecular, genetic, and psychological methods, and one of the primary goals of her research is to develop individualized treatments for pain.

Dr. Diatchenko will be giving her talk on Monday, March 13th, at 12:00 pm in Theatre B.  She is also available for one-on-one meetings during the day, including a breakfast meeting at 8 am.  To request a meeting, please email Kae Normandeau:  Kae.Normandeau@umanitoba.ca

If you have any interest in the pain field, this is a great opportunity to speak to one of its leaders.

Best wishes, Sari
