Dr. Turner’s research is focused on developing new treatments and biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases of aging, particularly Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Turner is on the steering committees of the Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) and the Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), and is a site PI for the NIH-funded Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC) and Trial-Ready Cohort for Preclinical/Prodromal Alzheimer’s Disease (TRC-PAD). He is PI or Site PI on numerous multi-center, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials, including Resveratrol for Alzheimer’s disease and Nilotinib for Alzheimer’s disease.
