The Visual and Automated Disease Analytics Program is an NSERC CREATE Program aimed at training graduate students at the intersection of health informatics and computational science. Part of the program is a summer school which is open to students external from the program (both undergraduate and graduate). There are only 15 spots available and the registration deadline is May 31st. The summer school offers seminars and applied sessions on a variety of topics around complex health data. I have attached the poster and schedule but if you have any questions or require further information please let me know.
Thank you,

Just a reminder, the deadline to submit your abstract and registration for CSHRF 2019 is
this Friday, March 15th.
The Manitoba Health Research Poster Competition (June 10) for graduate students is a great venue for students from across the health spectrum (Animal Science to zoologists... as broad as the CIHR mandate) to gain practice in presentation, receive feedback from experienced judges (awards of excellence are also available), and network with students from across the breadth of health research, both here and nationally. The opportunities for networking within the Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) are broad, from social events (June 12) such as a social evening and dinner as well as tours... the broad-spectrum symposium by Gairdner laureates (June 13) and meeting with CIHR leadership for a workshop on Career Development (June 11).
And it's all free for participants, so I'd encourage you consider this opportunity and to pass the message along to your colleagues. For more information please see:

Dear Colleagues,
Please see the attached factsheet regarding a new stream of the Health System Impact Fellowship Program focusing on Artificial Intelligence offered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
The Health System Impact Fellowship<https://www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca/rnr16/vwOpprtntyDtls.do?all=1&maste…> (HSIF) is a program that funds doctoral trainees and postdoctoral fellows to apply their research and analytic talents to critical health system challenges outside of the traditional scholarly setting. Funded fellows work in public, private for-profit, not-for-profit, or Indigenous Health organizations to develop professional experience, new skills, and networks that benefit their future careers.
We've been asked by CIHR to share this opportunity with our stakeholders and we ask that you extend this information to any researchers who may be interested in applying for this opportunity. Please contact CIHR Support<mailto:support@cihr-irsc.gc.ca?subject=Health%20System%20Impact%20Fellowship%20Program> with any questions related to the opportunity.
Please feel free to forward this information to those who may have an interest in or who can benefit from this opportunity.
Best regards,
