Hi Everyone:

I am confused about this message. I had to miss the first half-hour of Saturday’s meeting, but I reported on the conference panels, which Jim M and I had revised that morning, and I thought that any discussion about the panels took place in that part of the meeting. If this change was discussed before I arrived, I would have missed it. But I expect and hope that program changes will be discussed at our monthly meetings before being decided upon.

Please correct me if I am in error and the change was discussed before I arrived.

Best,

julie

Hi Esyllt,

We’ve labeled your panel “Teaching and Learning the Strike.”  Since we don’t know the participants, we need at least a one sentence description.  How is “University of Manitoba students research the General Strike, organized by Esyllt Jones”?  Does this fit?  You had mentioned perhaps including a teacher?  We can amend this in future drafts and in the final program, but we want to give people and idea of what it is.

Jim

If at all possible, could I have my session scheduled for the afternoon, please? I’ll be teaching every morning that week.

Sorry to have missed the meeting — I’m here in Toronto for meetings.

Dear committee members:

As promised, the updated list of panels and the schedule to date are attached. We will be sending out a version with panel chairs proposed before the next meeting, which is scheduled for 9 February.

If there’s a panel you would like to chair, please volunteer asap, so you can get your first choice. We are happy to accommodate your chairing preferences!
