My one concern about not meeting today was that we wanted to make decisions about participants in preparation for submitting the application for the SSHRC grant (which is coming up soon). I’m not sure that this is a huge problem, as I think there was some general consensus about the proposals from the last meeting.  And, in any case, we haven’t yet contacted all of the potential roundtable participants.

If Rhonda and Jim M. can report to the listservregarding their work going over the proposals, we can see if there are issues, concerns, or other ideas.  In the meantime, we’ll proceed in getting the SSHRC proposal together.  If we meet in 2 weeks, we can officially approve everything that we’ve discussed on the listserv.

Let me know if there are any objections putting the meeting off for a fortnight.  I know there are a few other issues around, for instance, the Friday night event, but those who are working on this can discuss it and report to the listserv as well.

So….  if that’s alright, lets cancel this meeting and meet on Saturday, April 7, at 1:30.

Jim

I will also have to send regrets so I suggest perhaps we reschedule.

Hello all,

So far Jeff, Krishna and Jim N cannot attend. Anyone else?

As Paul says, maybe we should reschedule?

Sharon

Jim, I would be fine with postponing for two weeks when hopefully conditions will be better.

Doesn't feel right to proceed without you and others who have to drive. Your call.

Hi Folks,

The roads are pretty bad out in this corner of the province  (#1 is partly closed) and they don’t look like they are going to improve quickly, so I won’t be attending the meeting today.  Sorry.

Jim
