2 – Get ready to register

Registration is the process of adding or removing classes from your personalized schedule. Registration is time sensitive so it’s important you prepare and plan your course selection ahead of time.

  • Registration Revision Period (Add and Drop period)
    • During the registration revision period, you can ‘add and drop’ courses, making changes to your timetable without academic or financial penalty.
    • Courses dropped during this period are not recorded on official transcripts or student records, and tuition charges will be reversed for dropped courses.
    • Once the registration revision period ends, you can still Voluntarily Withdraw (VW) from a class, however, it will be recorded on your transcript, and you will not receive a tuition refund.
  • Registration Permissions
    • If you need permission to register for a course, contact your advising office before your registration time to avoid registration errors and delays.
  • Waitlists
    • Select courses will include a Waitlist function. You can add yourself to a Waitlist if a course is full. If a space becomes available, you will be notified via your UM email account.
