Be in the stands TONIGHT, Thursday, February 22, when tournament fever descends on the University of Manitoba for the first Bisons appearance in the Canada West Men’s Basketball Tournament.

This is the largest single-elimination tournament in Canadian university basketball history, and Manitoba earned a bye into the quarter-finals tonight. At 8 p.m., they’ll tip off against the twelfth-ranked University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves.

The winner gets one step closer to earning the championship banner for their school in the semi-final games on Saturday, February 24.

YOU can give the Bisons their homecourt advantage by bringing some BIG BISON energy to IGAC tonight.

The first 300 students to use the promo code “STUDENT” get 50% of the ticket price to the game tonight. Tonight’s ticket also gets you in to see the UWinnipeg Wesmen play the University of Fraser Valley at 6 p.m.

Tonight’s match-ups feature excitement and disappointment. Teams must win or go home through each round as they vie for the honour of bringing home the banner. Only six different schools have won the banner in conference history.

Take in an extra dose of entertainment tonight with in-game host Jordan Knight testing your basketball trivia for prize giveaways and extra special half-time performances by Shanley Spence, Hoop Dancer, and Sarah Teakle (circus-style performance).
