Some few WiFi connection problems have been reported after an upgrade to iOS6. Here's a discussion of some related issues that took place on another discussion list at the UofManitoba that may prove interesting to the Apple List as well....

To add some empirical evidence...... due to matters unrelated to these concerns, I've had one iPhone and several iPads all with iOS6 that have not encountered WiFi problems since the upgrade..... but, then, we've got pretty solid WiFi signals "round here"....

Hello:

This issue appears to be stemming from a check the iOS does to determine if it has a Internet connection, which involves successfully loading this URL (http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html). Needless to say, this site was getting pounded into the dust on the day iOS 6 was released, and has resulted in some aggravation (to say the least). The problem usually presents thusly,

Rob mentioned the following, steps…
• Open "Settings"
and then choose -> general -> reset -> reset network settings

Alternatively this may also fix the problem,

1. Open the "Settings" app.

2. Select "Wi-Fi", press on the small blue arrow next of the network you wish to join.

3. Scroll to the bottom and setting the HTTP Proxy to "Auto"

4. Lastly, try loading any webpage in Safari.

Basically, you just need to get the iPad on-line once to load that URL mentioned above, and you should be good from then on. It may require taking your iPad home to use a more basic WiFi setup (i.e. not our WPA2-Enterprise) to achieve this connection.

Hope this helps those still experience connectivity issues.

Cheers

Anyone see any wifi problems on iPad2 and ios6?

I have an iPad in front of me that won't see any wifi networks.

So far I've done power off/on and reset all settings.

Googling the issue shows up various complaints about wifi and ios6..

Any input be great.
