Help reduce the festival’s environmental impact! Get priority entrance to Festival Campground on Wednesday morning!
The Winnipeg Folk Festival is working hard to reduce our environmental impact. This year for the first time, there will be organized bike rides out to the festival.
Together, the approximately two-hour bike ride will be a great chance to enjoy the outdoors and get to the festival without driving numerous vehicles.
Participants will meet at Elmwood High School, and a safe-ride van will accompany the riders, and help transport their camping gear to Bird’s Hill Park.

All rides leave from Elmwood High School. The van will transport one duffel bag and one cooler per person.
Riders will check in and meet half an hour prior to the ride for a stretch and general warm up.
The ride will go rain or shine, and riders are encouraged to bring weather appropriate gear, a snack and plenty of water. Please have your bike checked by a bike mechanic prior to the ride.
