Communities across the country face challenges in improving safety for pedestrians on arterial streets, which account for the majority of pedestrian deaths in the US each year compared to other street types. At the same time, there are numerous policy and design solutions available to improve safety and comfort on arterials for vulnerable road users. During this webinar, panelists will share the latest research on the safety, equity, and health challenges presented by arterials and what can be done to rebalance these streets for all road users.

Panelists include Dan Goodman (Toole Design), Thomas Hillman (Toole Design), and Dr. Carey McAndrews (University of Wisconsin).
