Bike Week Winnipeg is looking a few new organizing committee members. With the expansion of Bike to Work Day to a weeklong event we really need more volunteers to help us with planning and organizing the various events that will happen throughout the week. If you are interested in helping us make this new project as big a success as Bike the Work Day please let me know.

 

Oh, and we are still looking for a space to store our bike powered concert system (see below). It doesn’t take up much space. It is currently all stored on one pallet and could likely be further condensed if some items could be leaned against a wall. We are up against the wall here as we need to get it into a heated space soon. If you can, please help!

Hi

 

For those of you who participated in Bike to Work Day and were fortunate enough to enjoy Boon Burgers at our BBQ, you will know that Bike to Work Day (now Bike Week Winnipeg) is the proud owner of a bike powered concert system. Since the Bike to Work Day event this system has been stored at the Forks in an garage area that is really not suitable for storage of this equipment. What we are hoping is that a bike friendly group or organization would be  willing to provide us with some storage space in a climate controlled area, hopefully somewhat centrally located. The equipment is not really all that much and all of it fits on one pallet.
