NSERC CGS-D AND PGS-D FALL 2022 Q & A SESSION HOSTED BY NSERC

Level: PhD students or PhD applicants interested in Tri-Agency doctoral awards in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Fields
Prerequisite: NSERC’s Q & A sessions are supported by a series of informational videos available on the NSERC YouTube channel. These videos are intended to completely replace the presentation portion of NSERC sessions, thus allowing NSERC staff and applicants to engage in an in-depth and detailed Q & A session. Participants should watch these videos in advance and come to the Q & A session with specific questions in mind: Playlist – Scholarships & Fellowships program application tutorials (English).

VANIER CANADA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
$50,000 per year for three years · For PhD students
Research Field(s): Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and/or Engineering (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities (SSHRC)
Details: The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program is designed to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by offering them a significant financial award to assist them during their studies at Canadian universities. Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and engineering, and health-related fields. Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier Scholarship. Please visit the Vanier CGS website for official details.

MCCALL MACBAIN FOUNDATION
Up to 30 full scholarships and 80 entrance awards of $5,000 or $10,000 each. The scholarship will cover full tuition & fees for a full-time master’s program or a second-entry professional undergraduate program (i.e. dentistry, law, or medicine) at McGill, starting in Fall 2023. It will also provide students with a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms. · For Master's students
Research Field(s): These scholarships will be offered to candidates who demonstrate character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. Candidates must have Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status and have their bachelor’s degree (or be on track to graduate by August 2023).

2022-23 CANADA GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP MICHAEL SMITH FOREIGN STUDY SUPPLEMENT (CGS-MSFSS)
Details: The Canada Graduate Scholarships – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements (CGS-MSFSS) are available to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada or Protected Persons under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) who hold a Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) at the master’s or doctoral level, or a Vanier CGS at the doctoral level. Supplements of up to $6,000 are available to active CGS (master’s or doctoral) or eligible Vanier CGS holders to help offset the costs of undertaking research studies outside Canada for a defined period. .
To Apply: Application documents are specific to each agency. For general application information, please visit the CGS-MSFSS website. The “Overview” section (table) lists and links the forms and instructions required by each agency (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC). Please ensure you use the correct instructions and forms, and include all required materials when submitting your application. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be considered.
