INTERNATIONAL POLICY IDEAS CHALLENGE $3,000 · For graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers Details: SSHRC and Global Affairs Canada have partnered to launch the sixth International Policy Ideas Challenge. Aimed at graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers from Canadian postsecondary institutions, the challenge provides each of the top six winning entries with a $3,000 award to develop and transform their ideas into policy briefs. The challenge also provides laureates with coaching including access to subject matter experts, networking and skills development opportunities, which will culminate in presenting the resulting policy briefs to Canadian officials during the 2022 National Ideas Symposium later in 2022. Up to $6,000 for a period of research study abroad · For graduate students who hold a Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) at the Master’s or doctoral level, or a Vanier CGS at the doctoral level Details: Available to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada or Protected Persons under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) who hold a Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) at the Master’s or doctoral level, or a Vanier CGS at the doctoral level. Supplements of up to $6,000 are available to active CGS (Master’s or doctoral) or eligible Vanier CGS holders to help offset the costs of undertaking research studies outside Canada for a defined period. DAVIES MEMORIAL AWARD Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Arctic Section (SNAME AS) One award of $3,000 · For Master's & PhD students Research Field(s): The competition is open to any full time graduate student at a recognized University in Canada or the US State of Alaska whose research will assist in providing solutions to problems encountered in the Arctic or in cold ocean environments. | MCCALL MACBAIN FOUNDATION Up to 30 full scholarships and 80 entrance awards of $5,000 or $10,000 each. The scholarship will cover full tuition & fees for a full-time master’s program or a second-entry professional undergraduate program (i.e. dentistry, law, or medicine) at McGill, starting in Fall 2023. It will also provide students with a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms. · For Master's students Research Field(s): These scholarships will be offered to candidates who demonstrate character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity.
