McCALL MacBAIN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
Up to 20 full scholarships and 60 entrance awards of $5,000 or $10,000 each. The scholarship will cover full tuition & fees for a full-time master’s program or a second-entry professional undergraduate program (i.e. dentistry, law, or medicine) at McGill, starting in Fall 2022. It will also provide students with a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms. · For Master's students
Research Field(s): These scholarships will be offered to candidates who demonstrate character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. Candidates must have Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status and have their bachelor’s degree (or be on track to graduate by August 2022).

FALL 2021 PART-TIME ACADEMIC ENGLISH COURSE SUBSITY
The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the University of Manitoba Graduate Student's Association (UMGSA) are pleased to offer a $100 subsidy on Part-Time Academic English Courses (PTAEC) offered by the English Language Centre (ELC) delivered by remote/virtual learning. Students will have the opportunity to express their intent to apply for the subsidy of $100 via the application form linked below. If Successful, the $100 subsidy will be applied directly to the cost of a Part-Time Academic English Course offered in the Fall 2021 term. Students will be responsible for payment of the additional $50 of ELC course fees above and beyond the $100 subsidy.

Graduate Students seeking to apply for this subsidy must:

*Subsidies will be offered on a first-come-first serve basis to a maximum of 40 graduate students.

VIRTUAL CIHR TRAINEE (STUDENT) INFORMATION SESSIONS
CIHR is offering a series of MS Teams events to trainees and institution staff regarding its award programs. Sessions will include an overview of relevant policies, tips for applicants, guidelines on how to submit an application, etc. Slido is an interactive tool where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the live event.
Sessions are 60 minutes. No registration required.

In this virtual session, Sara Sealey, Awards Officer for the Faculty of Graduate Studies, will provide information on the Tri-Agency Canada Graduate Scholarships – Doctoral (CGS-D) competition for SSHRC, NSERC, and CIHR. The presentation will include information on completing applications, transcript requirements, and hints and tips for successful applications. The session will end with a Q & A with students/attendees. Support staff and faculty are always welcome to sign up for this session, as well!

Please note that this session will be recorded; even if you cannot attend the session, please sign up, and a link to watch the recording of the session along with a copy of the presentation slides will be emailed to all who signed up, even if they did not attend.
