1) Israel Advocacy Training

Arieh Rosenblum, director of Israel Affairs for National Jewish Campus Life, is coming in on November 8^th. He will be doing Israel Advocacy training with the students.

2) Oscar Olivera at University of Winnipeg

Oscar Olivera: a renowned community activist and labour leader who is best known for leading the fight against the privatisation of water in Bolivia.

In 1999 the government of Bolivia privatised later services in Cochabamba leading to massive fee hikes of as much as 200%, for many citizens. Then in April 2000 the people of Cochabamba fought back. Oscar will discuss his involvement in this struggle as well as on some of the global impacts resulting from the privatisation of water.
