St. Paul’s University College, at the University of Waterloo, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Human Rights. The position will commence
on August 1, 2020.
Candidates must hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline with a demonstrated record of scholarship focused on human rights. Specific expertise in either the rights of Indigenous peoples
or the rights of refugees would align well with other College priorities but our central objective is to appoint someone with a broad understanding of the theory and practice of human rights. Professional experience in human rights work is an asset, but not
a requirement.

In addition to the standard cover letter and curriculum vitae, applications must include a two-page syllabus that shows how you would structure a one-semester course titled Introduction
