This must be random indeed. I was on from 9 to 10 am this morning and the Chat box was fully active, with overlapping queries coming thru and I was juggling with full communication with all. In fact I was surprised at the number of transactions at what I figured would be a ‘lean’ day -  May be I ‘lucked’ out!

Hi folks,

 

There have been a few glitches with connecting to the Ask A Librarian chat box in the last week or so.  Pidgin shows that you’re online, but in reality you’re not - the chat box on the library web pages isn’t active. 

 

This appears to be random, so I suggest you check the UML homepage after you sign in for your shift, to make sure the widget is active. If not, try logging out of Pidgin & logging back in. If that doesn’t work, please call me or the HelpDesk.
