Good morning! August 15th is tomorrow, and it is the next due date for regular library books. As you may know, patrons will not receive any notice until the 16th, at which point their books are overdue. Patrons cannot renew their books until the 16th. We might expect a higher volume of Virtual Reference questions on Wednesday and Thursday morning if people try to renew their books early, then use up their 3 renewal limit, then on the 16th have no renewals left to actually renew their books with.

Can I ask a few circ staff to volunteer to staff Libraryh3lp Wednesday morning and Thursday morning, just in case we get a lot of questions about the due dates? Circ staff are better equipped to handle these questions, as they can look up patron records very quickly, check renewal limits, and problem-solve on the spot.
