Dear Manitoba Neuroscientists,

 

The Winnipeg Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience is committed to improving the public's understanding of the brain and nervous system. We are currently in the process of designing a program of outreach activities that will maximize the value of the contributions we make. This includes formulating a plan for our participation in the International Brain Awareness Week.

 

My feeling is that the best way to proceed is to assemble a committee of a few dedicated individuals who believe strongly in community outreach. The objective of that committee will be to formulate a cohesive outreach plan. All ideas are on the table and innovation is encouraged.

 

If you have a strong belief in cultivating stronger public knowledge of neuroscience and possibly making a difference in the lives of young people, please contact me at canderson@sbrc.ca .

 

I cannot do this on my own and would appreciate you all giving this some strong thought.
