Subject: [VPAC-Dept-Heads]Call for Nominations: 2022-23 Annual Community Engagement Awards
Good morning,
Please see the attached memo sent on behalf of Dr. Michael Benarroch, President and Vice-Chancellor. Please circulate widely as appropriate.
Please consider nominating one individual from your area who has been notably active in community engagement activities during 2021-2022, and has gone above and beyond what they do as an employee of the University. To determine your nominee, please consider all suggested individuals from your unit in consultation with a suitable number of your colleagues. While there are no restrictions with respect to nominating a previous recipient again, the case for doing so should be based on community engagement activities undertaken since the previous award. Heads of larger units may wish to nominate more than one person, although this should normally be done only for exceptional reasons. It is not anticipated that every unit will nominate each year. For further information and the application form, please visit https://umanitoba.ca/about-um/provost-vice-president-academic/academic-supp…
Nominations from Deans, Directors, and Vice-Presidents are due on Monday, March 6, 2023 to the Chair of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Community Engagement, Dr. Tracey Peter, Vice-Provost (Academic Affairs) via email care of jill.christie(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:jill.christie@umanitoba.ca>

Good Morning,
For the 2023 Winter Term, masks must still be worn by everyone on UM campuses when indoors. KN95 masks are highly recommended, but 3-ply disposable medical masks (minimum ASTM level 2) are acceptable.
Please send your orders for KN95 and/or 3-ply disposable medical masks (ASTM level 3), disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer, for teaching and office use, to me as soon as possible. Your order should include enough supply to last until the end of winter semester.
Quantities are:
1. KN95 masks (10 per box)
2. 3-ply disposable medical masks, ASTM level 3 (50 per box)
3. Lysol surface wipes (80 sheets per tub)
4. Liquid hand sanitizer refill (1 litre)
