You are likely aware of Israel's prowess on digital agriculture tools and start-ups, but they are also highly involved in food technology start-ups, and many of them emanate from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is also making real efforts to be innovative on sustainable agriculture, but with a focus on the whole of the food system. The Director of the Center of Sustainable Food Systems is aware of the Faculty's attempts to take whole systems approaches to innovations that will enhance the sustainability of production and utilization of grains, grain legumes and oilseeds, and so is interested in partnering with us, particularly because we have such contrasting ag systems to what is typically practised in Israel. If you have a chance, please check out the webpages of faculty at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and identify faculty members at that institution that you believe you would be interested in partnering with to develop joint projects. To start the process, please fill out the attached PDF fillable form and return it to me.
