Hello,
I am the coordinator for the Faculty's Mentorship Program for Women in Agriculture. The program aims to support female students in the Faculty by forming connections with peers and mentors. Please share this opportunity with all graduate students in your department or anyone you may know who might be interested in this opportunity.
The program is looking to host an event for graduate students in our faculty to showcase their current research. This event would take place virtually at the end of January in the evening. Date is TBD. Interested students from all departments would have the opportunity to share their work/findings in 5 minutes or less. The event would be open for all students in the Faculty to attend. Information regarding the event will be sent out soon.

Please express interest in sharing your current graduate research at the Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences. You will be sharing your work with participants in the Faculty's Mentorship Program for Women in Agriculture. This will be done in a virtual evening event towards the end of January. Date and time to be announced. You will have 5 minutes to share your work. Space is limited to 10 presenting students, however anyone is free to attend. The link will be shared through the Faculty student newsletter.

This week, we are ready to start our Advanced Plant Science Seminar program for the winter term 2022.
Our first guest speaker is Dr. Malinda Thilakarathna, Assistant Professor in Agronomy and Plant-microbial interactions, University of Alberta. His seminar will be on "Legume-Rhizobia Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation".
