Hello Peter
I don't know if you remember me or not, we have met occasionally (I am the wife of Rob Currie from Entomology).  Anyway, I am currently Acting Chair of Chemistry at U of W, and I am trying to staff one of our lecture courses for January (the person I had arranged to teach the course informed me today that they are unavailable, so the position is still open).  If you know of any post-docs or senior graduate students in the department who might be interested in getting some teaching experience, I would greatly appreciate it if you could pass this message on.
We have a lecture course available to be taught on stipend (about $3600, see attached ad).  The course will be offered next January (i.e. in a few weeks), and is a second year terminal course in Biochemistry ("Principles of Biochemistry", which is much less rigorous than the regular "pre-med" biochemistry).  The course involves one three-hour lecture per week for twelve weeks, plus a final exam, for roughly 25 students.  The ad says that the position requires a Ph.D. or M.Sc., but  a senior PhD student (without an M.Sc.) or an M.Sc. student who is "ABD" might be suitable, depending on their other qualifications.  Given the time frame involved, anyone interested should respond as soon as possible.  They can feel free to email me if they would like more information.
Thank you for your consideration of this request.
    Best regards,
    Desiree.
