You might remember that in the past two months, PSGSA has shared a couple of surveys to get your input on some major changes we want to see happen in the department, with focus on teaching, outreach and research in particular.

All of your responses have been compiled and shared in a series of brainstorming workshops during department council meetings. The end result is outlining a formal Strategic Plan (attached in this e-mail) that documents action items proposed following everyone’s ideas. As you read through the document, you’ll notice that there are action plans following each action item – and some of those would greatly benefit from student participation (namely the Social committee and the Events committee).

PSGSA will soon hold another meeting with the rest of the student body to discuss the document: 1) to collect some further opinions or ideas, and 2) to share interest in volunteering as a member in the committees outlined.
