Below is an opportunity that may be of interest to students in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. I wanted to draw attention to this particular posting as it could be a great opportunity for students in your faculty.

 

MEMBER, CANADIAN AGRICULTURAL YOUTH COUNCIL

Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau launched the application period for the second cohort of the Canadian Agricultural Youth Council. The second cohort’s 18-month term will officially start in the summer of 2022 “and will be made up of new and returning members – youth who are creative and who have a passion for food and farming.” The Council meets regularly with the Minister and Department officials “to discuss the issues that matter the most to young people working in the agriculture and agri-food sectors and to advise on agriculture-related policies and programs.” The Council is open to those aged 18 to 30 who work in or study the agriculture and agri-food value chain and “who are interested in sharping the future of the sector.” Applications are due on March 22.
