The National Farmers Union is hiring a Climate Policy Coordinator and we thought that some of you may know people who might be well-qualified for this position. Please pass this along to anyone you know who might thrive in this work.
Note that, optimally, we are looking for candidates with some career experience. This is a full-time position for more than two years. Here are the details:
Climate Policy Coordinator. The NFU is seeking someone with a passion for agricultural and climate issues and government policy development. Our Climate Policy Coordinator will work with farmers and governments to develop and
advance programs to reduce agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, foster climate adaptation, build resilience, and increase the long-term sustainability of the sector. The successful applicant will assist in policy development, communications and media
work, government relations and policy advocacy, and organizing farmers and rural residents. The successful candidate will need a mix of academic qualifications as well as significant work experience. We would be especially interested in applicants that can
work, at least part of the time, out of the National Office in Saskatoon.

P.S. In addition to this fulltime position, we are also hiring a part-time, shorter-term contract position to do research on wetlands. I note this just to avoid confusion as to whether there are one or two positions. There are two.
