Hi all, I hope everyone is well,
There is a possibility of TAs being hired earlier for the coming fall term to accommodate the different approaches brought up in distance teaching. Although not confirmed, these approaches might include video preparations for demonstrating lab practices, preparing
the plant material for these demonstrations, writing up lectures, etc.
Additionally, Martha is not sure whether or not the TA application process as well as the hiring process can be changed (ie. sped up). Normally positions on JUMP are not posted until July and applicants are given 3 weeks to accept or decline.
For students wanting to continue their previous position with the same course, please contact the professor you worked with before to let them know that your help is still available. This would at least help streamline the process once the university is able
to implement changes to the application and hiring system.
