Good afternoon everyone,

After the Plant Science department council meeting, the department has moved forward to establish a Climate Action Committee to help conceptualize and recommend “net-zero” for our department’s field-related research based programs and research travel. If the committee is successful in establishing a carbon neutral plan, the Department of Plant Science could become one of the first net-zero departments at the University of Manitoba.

The Climate Action Committee is currently looking for two graduate students to join this meaningful committee to help build towards a greener future for our department and ultimately, our planet. Meetings will only be held every month/every other month, so the time requirement for being a part of the committee will not be overwhelming.
