Good afternoon fellow grad students,

The first issue of the Plant Science Newsletter will be released at the end of the month. As discussed by the Dept Council, this will be our department’s primary way of exchanging information. This could include the following:

• Scholarships awarded to students
• Dates/Advertisements of Upcoming events from PSGSA
• Announcements of Mat. leave/New baby’s name!
• Welcoming of new graduate students
• Congratulations to students who have recently defended
• Any other pieces of news that will be relevant to fellow students/department members
• If there’s room, perhaps even a comic strip

If you have any of these listed that you wish to share, please direct them to me at decastr4@myumanitoba.ca on Feb 18 the latest (Thursday next week) – as coordinator for the Students’ section, I do still need to edit/approve them before forwarding everything to Martha on the 19^th.
