Subject: Adoption and parental leave announcement for the greenhouse manager

Hi Everyone,

My family and I are happy to announce the adoption of our daughter Harmony into our family. As a result, I will begin taking an eight month parental leave beginning January 12, 2015.

It has been decided that Cathy Bay will become the interim Greenhouse Manager and a new technician assistant will be hired to fill her role. As many of you know, Cathy has been around the greenhouse area for almost 23 years and is experienced in all aspects of its operation. She is currently learning additional responsibilities that come with the manager role. I hope to bring Cathy around to some of you in the near future especially as it relates to key service providers for the controlled growth environment equipment.

Let me take this opportunity to say how much I appreciate all the assistance given to me over the last year and a half as I became acquainted with the greenhouse manager role. I am confident that each of you will do your best to assist Cathy as she begins her time as manager.
