The Manitoba Round Table
for Sustainable Development has established the 2009
Manitoba
Excellence in Sustainability Awards to recognize people, projects and
ideas
that successfully turn the principles and guidelines of sustainable
development
into lasting achievements. The application and nomination period is now
open
until July 10, 2009. The awards will honour a variety of individuals
and
organizations for actions on climate change, pollution prevention and
product
stewardship, water and natural area stewardship, education and
research. To
