Subject: Food hamper update!
Hi Bev and Susan – do you mind circulating this through the department? Thanks!!!
Hi everyone!
A quick update on the holiday feed-a-family hampers (see details below).
We are going to be supporting
two separate families from the neighbourhoods surrounding the university.
Each household is a family of 3, one with a 7 year old girl and the other with a 4 year old boy.
We are still collecting donations until
December 10th! We are collecting both food items, and monetary donations for kids gifts and perishables. If you are not currently on campus but would like to still participate, you can email
Katherine.stanley@umanitoba.ca to discuss options.
There is a donation bin outside of room 304 in the plant science building, and at the point in the lunchroom.
Items still needed include:
-
Kraft Dinner and pasta
-
Coffee and Tea
-
Rice
-
Cookies, jello, cake mix and holiday candy
-
Packages of mashed/scalloped potatoes and cans of gravy
