Hi all,

As you are all aware, the Point facilities are experiencing a serious rodent problem that needs to be addressed. It is pertinent to ensure that we are not inviting them into the facilities with food or bedding.

The Drying, Processing, and Seed Storage coordination subgroup is asking each research group to remove potential mouse attractant into a mouse proof container.  Any samples and cleanings that remain in non-rodent-secure containers (bags and the likes) need to be removed from the facility by their owners ASAP.  Any group with such items is strongly encouraged to remove these items by the end of next week.  On Friday August 3, groups and PIs will be contacted directly requesting immediate removal of any remaining material.

Technicians are also reminded to instructed anyone using the processing and drying room areas that garbage cans are to be emptied at the end of the day and biomass and harvest samples should be returned to their mouse proof containers.

Thank you all for your co-operation and assistance.
