Hello Graduate Students!

Anita and I have been busy planning a field tour for the introductory agriculture course: Natural Resources and Primary Agricultural Production (AGRIC 1500).  Basically, its an introduction to agriculture (plant and animal) for the first year students in the faculty.  This would be a great opportunity for you to broaden your knowledge base about Canadian (and specifically Manitoban) agriculture.

We will be visiting a berry farm, a sheep farm, a grain farm and the Ian N. Morrison Research Station (to learn about soil and riverbed ecology).  There is lots to learn at each stop and you never know when you might need to know something about one of these areas (think job interviews, networking etc).

The tour is on Saturday, September 19, 2009.  There is limited space available, so if you are interested, please talk to either Anita or myself about joining us!

Hope to see you there,
Victoria
