Attention UMGF, SSHRC, NSERC and Other Major Awards Holders

Please familiarize yourself with your Award Holder’s Guide to ensure that you are complying with all of your award’s rules and regulations. In particular, you must ensure that you do not exceed the allowable number of hours (in a 12 month period) a graduate student is permitted to work on or off campus.  For example, UMGF award holders are limited to 720 hours in a 12-month period, while NSERC and SSHRC award holders are limited to 450 hours in a 12-month period.  Failure to adhere to the rules and regulations of your award will result in the termination of the award and the repayment of ineligible funds.

Graduate Student Survey

The University of Manitoba strives to ensure that graduate education and student experience are the best they can be.  To this end, we recently conducted an online survey asking grad students to rate their experiences with various aspects of graduate studies.

We had an exceptional response rate of 39%! Thanks to all of our engaged and motivated graduate students who participated in this survey. Our goal is continuous improvement, and the valuable input provided will be used to enhance the educational experience of current and future graduate students.

The winners of the random prize draw are currently being contacted.  Thanks again to all who replied!
