     The Faculty of Graduate Studies would like to bring the following competition(s) to your attention:

International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Internship Awards.

Number of internships: 19

Deadline: 12 September 2009

Eligibility: They must be either currently registered in a Master's Program or have completed a Master's Degree in a recognized university. Their research must focus on a developing country.

In principle, IDRC supports research on all parts of the developing regions of the world. At this time, the Centre Training and Awards Program is not supporting awards which involve research in Burma, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Eastern Europe or Central Asia.

Internship thematic areas:
- Ecosystem Approaches to Human Health (ECOHEALTH)
- Rural Poverty and Environment (RPE) (2 positions)

Alzheimer Society of Manitoba Annual Conference

The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba will hold its annual conference on March 8 and 9, 2010 at Canad Inns-Polo Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba. The theme for the upcoming Conference is Partners in Care . . . Pathways to the Future.

I would like to extend my invitation to you to consider submitting a proposal for a breakout session presentation at the 2010 conference. Please find enclosed a copy of the Call for Annual Conference Presenters.
