This September, we're exploring ways to feed 9 billion people.

Solutions start here - in friendly Manitoba.

Our province is proud to be a first-time host for ABIC 2017, the premier global meeting promoting innovation in bioscience for sustainable food, feed, fibre and fuel security as the climate changes.

This year's conference will include concurrent workshop sessions, keynote sessions, technical presentations, an interactive tradeshow hall, a student research competition, industry tours, harvest dinners and more!

Know a graduate or undergraduate researcher? Invite them to enter ABIC 2017's Best Student (Oral) Presentation Competition!

The competition will take place at this year's conference. $500 (CDN) will be awarded to the best presentation in each of the following subject areas: environment, health and global stewardship.

Students who wish to present at ABIC 2017 must register for the conference and submit an abstract no later than June 15, 2017. Send abstracts to StartHere@ABIC2017.ca.

ABIC's annual bursaries were created to encourage attendance from young scientists in emerging nations.

Students who wish to apply for the ABIC travel bursary must apply no later than May 31, 2017.
