Hi Folks: I hope you are all well and spring seeding is well in hand (for those of you who breed spring cereals).

 

I am writing to inquire whether any of you might have a PhD candidate close to finishing who would be looking for a post-doc in wheat breeding. It appears we will be looking to fill Doug Brown?s position within the next 6 months or so. He has not yet given a firm date but he has suggested he will not be going to winter nursery in February.  

 

Neither Steve Fox nor I can take on yet another breeding program but as the only AAFC CPS wheat program in western Canada, we must had some one to take on the research responsibilities. A post-doc who is interested in cereal breeding seems to be the most expedient way to address the need in the short term.
