Hello Everyone,
Over the weekend we had a serious assault take place in the grad student offices. We will be meeting today Monday June 7 at noon in the Grad Lounge to talk about it.
On Saturday June 5 the in the evening, Caroline was in her grad student office when she was hit over the head from behind. The attacker left the room and Caroline did not get a chance to see who did it to her. She called for help right away and Campus police and City police came within several minutes. Caroline was taken to the hospital and received 3 staples on the back of her head. Thankfully, she is doing well now, considering the circumstances.
We will meet today so that Caroline can tell the grad students exactly what happened. We will also discuss a plan on how to ensure our safety from now so that this does not happen again to anybody. I urge all grad students to attend this meeting, so that we can work together to keep each other safe.
thank you,
Iris
