Ian N. Morrison Award for Advanced Studies in Crop Protection An endowment fund has been established at the University of Manitoba as a memorial tribute to Dr. Ian N. Morrison. The purpose of the award is to provide support for graduate students in the Department of Plant Science. The scholarship, valued at $5500, will be offered to one or more graduate students who: (1) have completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Food Science; (2) have demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum degree grade point average of 3.5 in their last 60 credit hours of study; (3) have enrolled as a full-time student in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Manitoba and undertake a graduate program in the Department of Plant Science investigating an aspect of crop protection. Preference may be given, in order of priority, to: (a) a student entering or in the second year of the graduate program and (b) to a student whose project is related to the advancement of knowledge on the biology and/or management of weeds.
Applications include: 1. Summary of research project (one page maximum); 2. All academic transcripts/student histories (photocopies are sufficient); 3. Curriculum vitae; 4.
