Thanks to the many technicians and academics that met on Thursday last week to discuss grain drying needs for the new Prairie Crops and Soils Research Facility. We were able to provide the needed feedback to the architects and consultants to move planning forward.

At that meeting, several questions came up about access to seed storage and processing facilities at the Point this coming spring following last year's closure of the building due to riverbank instability when river levels were high.  In response, Curt McCartney and I are inviting technicians and academics working at the Point to a building walkthrough and planning session on Wednesday February 21st at 2:45. We will meet in the coffee room at the Point, walk through the Seed Storage and processing area, and develop a list of actions times with timelines that will help us to be as prepared as we can for the uncertainties of this coming spring.

Those that are interested but unable to attend this session on short notice are invite to contact Yvonne Lawley and Curt McCartney by email by Friday Feb 23rd to receive a copy of the action items or to provide written input.
