Hello,
I'm reaching out in hopes that you can share the attached information about a late call for student applications into the NSERC CREATE Visual and Automated Disease Analytics Program within your network. The Program will be accepting an additional 3 graduate students who are accepted into graduate programs at University of Manitoba or University of Manitoba and are engaged in COVID-19 research.
Applications are due July 31st and any questions can be directed towards me.
All the best,

Late yesterday afternoon we were made aware of a typo in one of the platforms advertising Research Days (CSHRF) indicating the deadline to register as July 7th. As we can't be sure how many students saw this July 7th deadline date, in an effort to try to minimize confusion and keep the competition fair, we have extended the registration deadline to July 7th.

Survey Monkey has announced they will be performing website maintenance on July 3, 2020. They expect the site will unavailable for approximately 12 hours starting at 8 am Pacific Time.
As a result, we are extending the registration deadline for the CSHRF Manitoba Poster Competition to 11:45 PM on Sunday July 5th.

Dear students,
We are delighted to advise that key components of the annual Research Days event (Canadian Student Health Research Forum, CSHRF) will be offered in a virtual format later this summer.
Regarding the Manitoba Poster Competition, the virtual format will include pre-recorded video presentations by student presenters followed (after initial evaluation by judges) by live (Zoom) discussion with the judges. Details of the mechanism by which presentations will be recorded will be provided to registered presenters in due course. The general time-frame for this process will be for students to upload their presentations between July 27 - 31 so that judges will have time to review presentations prior to their live discussion on the morning of August 21 (note: students will need to be available during the morning of Aug 21 for live (Zoom) Q&A). As you may anticipate, this will require considerable organization of virtual material (including videos), judging and Zoom meetings, so your adherence to the July 3 deadline for registration is essential. The detailed instructions for registration<http://umanitoba.ca/outreach/conferences/research_days/827.html> are listed on our website. A considerable benefit to the virtual format is that it permits (virtual) networking amongst participants around their posters presentations and we anticipate being able to facilitate these much-requested opportunities.
Please note that Certificates of participation, awards of excellence and access to the CIHR National Poster Presentation will be available.
We hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to participate and gain experience as well as exposure of your research through this event. More details regarding other events (eg. Gairdner Symposium) within the CSHRF (week of August 24 - 28) will be available shortly.
