The Canadian Young Hydrologic Society is organizing a workshop for early career researchers (ECRs) in Hydrology attending Canadian universities. Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career faculty are invited to attend this interactive workshop focused on discussing the current state and future directions of Canadian Hydrology from the perspective of ECRs.
The workshop will be held in Montreal July 4-6, 2019 ahead of the IUGG-CGU General Assembly in Montreal. Workshop attendance is free to participants and travel support is available. Les étudiants-es à la maîtrise et au doctorat ainsi que les stagiaires postdoctoraux sont invités-es à appliquer à cet atelier de discussions sur l’état actuel et future de nos connaissances en hydrologie canadienne, du point de vue de chercheurs en début de carrière.
Le séminaire se tiendra à Montréal du 4 au 6 juillet 2019 précédant l’assemblé générale du IUGG-CGU. La participation à l’atelier est gratuite et des bourses de transport sont disponibles. INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP (IGSS)
The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers scholarships to assist with international student tuition fees. The scholarships, valued at up to the international differential tuition fee amount, will be offered to graduate students who:
(1) are international students (i.e., those in Canada on study permits);
(2) are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in Ph.D. program;
(3) are paying the international student differential tuition fee;
(4) have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 based on their last 60 credit hours (or equivalent) of study or last equivalent two full years;
(5) are not recipients of external award funding that pays for their tuition.
If you are planning to transfer from a Master's to a PhD program, or to apply for a PhD program next year, you should submit an IGSS application before the deadline. Even if you are unsure what you will do, you should submit an application.
