At the April 6, 2017 meeting, Soil Science department council formally adopted the proposal brought forward by Nick Jeke from the graduate students regarding minimum support levels.  The content of the department council motion has been incorporated into an updated graduate student support policy (attached).

Please note that the policy considers a broad range of financial support and does not focus solely on stipends.  

On behalf on department council, I express thanks to the students for researching support levels in other departments and for bringing the proposal forward.
