[Plants-grads] CanU Grow practice session
Hello everyone, Tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. (Oct 8) is the time we set aside for a practice run on the Soil Science CanU Grow activities.
The spaces in Rooms 318, 333 and 346 should be available starting at 4:00 p.m. so you can set up your apparatuses beforehand. I have attached the list of people looking after each activity station. We would like other graduate students to come at 5:00 p.m. and do a hands-on test of the activities. It will provide an opportunity to make any adjustments needed before the Grade 8 students arrive on Oct 15 and 22.
If you are a graduate student who is not looking after an activity and are planning to attend, please let me know.
Mitch may not be able to get set up tomorrow. However, we have space set aside for him in the shed, so he will be here for the Grade 8 students for sure.
I am waiting to confirm whether there may be a change in the format of the 2 evenings. We may have all 40 students with us on both nights. If this is confirmed, then I will schedule a meeting and we can discuss options to handle this if it occurs.
In the meantime, tomorrow is to confirm that everything is working as per your plans. And no matter how many Grade 8 students are coming each day, we need to know if the activities all work as planned.
See you tomorrow.
Paul
All, I have just received confirmation that all of the Grade 8 students will be at Soil Science on both Oct 15 and Oct 22. Originally, we were supposed to have half of them on each day.
Tomorrow, I am proposing that we gather in the Soils Lab (Room 318) at 4:45 p.m. to discuss our preferred option for handling this change. I hope this will leave enough time for everyone to get set up as well as to have a discussion.
Thanks, Paul
