The Power and Resistance in Latin America Research Cluster presents Pachamama Politics
Dr. Teresa Velásquez, Anthropology, California State University, San Bernardino

In this book talk, Pachamama Politics, Teresa Velásquez discusses her research among a group of Ecuadorian farmers organized to defend community watersheds from a proposed Canadian gold mine project. Please see the attached poster for more details.

The Writing Towards a Just World Research Cluster presents Variations of Writing Practice: Ways to Get the Work Done

U of Manitoba professors Diane Driedger, Christine Stewart and Niigaan Sinclair will explain the nitty-gritty processes of how they accomplish their tasks as writers of different genres, for example op-eds, creative nonfiction, and poetry. How do they discover ideas? How do they conduct research? How does revision and editing occur? How do they share and/or publish their work? There will be ample time for the audience to ask questions as well as for writing tips, strategies, and techniques to be shared.
