The UMIH calls for
applications for the 2021-22 Graduate Fellow, Research Clusters and Research Affiliates are now open! These unique
opportunities were designed by the institute to support scholars
doing important research in the humanities. See attached posters for each call and details on how
to apply.

UMIH External Grant Support:
The UMIH is seeking proposals for its External Grant Support program. This
is an initiative to help researchers in the Faculty of Arts who are seeking external funding for conferences, workshops, colloquia, and other local research events.
This program was designed to provide opportunities for scholars to secure support, (both
cash and in-kind), from the UMIH in order to
leverage funds from other agencies.

Annual Humanities Writing Contest (Dpt
of. Psychiatry, Dalhousie University)
Medical
students and residents are invited to submit reflective essays, prose, poetry, plays, or graphic novellas exploring the intersection of mental health and the humanities to the Dalhousie
Department
