Join Dr. Laura Robson, Oliver-McCourtney Professor of History at Penn State University in a public lecture exploring how a historiographical focus on mass violence – encompassing
the concepts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, forced migration, appropriation of resources, mass imprisonment, and forcible denationalization – can help explain the emergence of a dystopian politics of identity across the modern Middle East. See attachment for

UMIH External Grant Support:
The UMIH is seeking proposals for its External Grant Support program. An initiative to help researchers in the Faculty of Arts who are seeking external funding for conferences, workshops,
colloquia, and other local research events.
This program was designed to provide opportunities for scholars to secure support, both cash and in- kind, from the UMIH in order to leverage funds from other agencies.
