The Academic Learning Centre’s Tutor Training is designed to improve the overall quality of tutoring on campus and has been provided since 2004 to a wide variety of tutoring programs at the University of Manitoba. Participants benefit by learning about the
role of a tutor and the tutoring cycle and by improving critical thinking and communication skills. Tutors who attend training and complete the assigned activities also earn recognition on their

 Record.

With humility and respect, I acknowledge that the University of Manitoba campuses and research spaces are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg,
Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. I recognize that the Treaties signed on these lands are
a lifelong, enduring relationship, and I am dedicated to upholding their spirit and intent. I commit to active Reconciliation, meaningful change, and collaboration grounded in respect and reciprocity.
